The Ripple Effects of Marcellus Shale
The Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Central PA invites you to join us on Tuesday, March 23 for our monthly program, "The Ripple Effects of Marcellus Shale."
Most of us are familiar with the natural gas and Marcellus shale in the northern part of Pennsylvania and have been tracking recent seminars and information on what is happening with the industry. If you think your firm will not be impacted, you are wrong.
Please join us in learning how the economic impacts of Marcellus shale will effect schools, municipalities, churches, infrastructure, and the whole economy of our state. Our speakers will provide a basic overview of what is currently going on in the Northern Tier of the state, what to expect with taxing and legalities, and what effects the extraction will have over the next few years and decades.
Speakers will include:
• Mr. Anthony Ventello, Executive Director, Central Bradford Progress Authority
• Mr. Thomas B. Murphy, Co-Director, Penn State Marcellus Outreach and Research Initiative
• Senator Gene Yaw, 23rd District
